Pawssibilities - Relationship Based Training

Pawssibilities is a Charlottesville-based dog training service dedicated to relationship-focused, science-backed training that supports each dog as an individual.

Led by experienced trainer Karen Quillen, the program emphasizes humane, motivational methods and avoids one-size-fits-all approaches. Pawssibilities offers a range of services designed to help dogs and their humans build strong communication and lifelong skills, including private behavioral consultations (either in-home or at their training studio) and small-group classes tailored for different ages and needs.

Their Puppy 101 and Puppy 201 courses guide young and adolescent dogs through essential manners, socialization, leash skills, impulse control, and confidence-building. For older dogs, the Basic Manners class reinforces foundational behaviors and everyday life skills.

Pawssibilities also offers specialty enrichment opportunities like “The Nose Knows,” a beginner scent-work class that teaches dogs to identify and locate target scents—a mentally stimulating activity ideal for all breeds. With a holistic philosophy focused on understanding each dog’s lifestyle, environment, and personality, Pawssibilities helps families raise well-mannered, confident, and happy companions.
